Memorial Eye Center - Oak Forest

I went to this office because of the good reviews on Google and because a neighbor had recommended it. I live in oak Forest and had never noticed that this was located across the street from the Krogers I go to. Since I have a newborn, it was easy to leave home and go to the office quickly. From the moment I got to the office I was greeted professionally and received a packet that was transparent about prices. Even with my baby crying I felt comfortable nursing. My baby in the waiting room and the staff were kind. Jasmine took me to the back room and watched me through a series of exams and used the various machines to scan my eyes. She prepared me and answered any questions about each of the testing processes. She was very cordial and professional. Then I saw Dr. Turner. She was also very thorough and understanding to let me take my time if the baby cried or needed a diaper change during the exam. She answered any questions and thoroughly explained my retinal scans. When I was done. I wasn't pressured into buying glasses. My prescription hadn't changed in the past 1 to 2 years. Roberto, help check me out and I was pleased that the price was exactly what I expected and very reasonable. Roberto asked what I would like to do for glasses and left it at that. No sales pitch. Just a question and then he made sure that I was comfortable and I could easily get to my car from the office with my baby in tow. I'll definitely come back to this office again in the future. Dr. Turner and her team are top-notch! They were relaxed, professional, and knowledgeable; I felt very comfortable. The long wait made it a slightly negative experience. As an MA, I understand running behind. However, I selected the first visit of the day, not realizing my appointment was scheduled before clinic started. Although I arrived nearly 30 minutes early, I checked in late and received a text to reschedule. I got to keep my appointment, but I’d recommend removing any visits outside of your business hours. And perhaps the first spots should be reserved for existing patients who don’t have to fill out new patient paperwork. Even though I was there from opening to lunchtime, I was very happy with the care.

I have gone here for a few years. Great office staff. The eye doctor Megan was very, very detailed and provided a high level of care. I'd follow her to any clinic in Houston and am glad she has moved to this location. You can just tell she has a great heart and desire to help/serve others - that goes for the support staff too - from making an appointment, to checking in, to glasses fitting, to paying (not anyone's favorite part) and leaving. Highly recommend this location and look forward to my next visit (unlike the visit to the dentist where they always seem to find a cavity). PS I do recommend taking the Retinal Photos. Megan walked me through the findings and I have a doctor visit to schedule with my primary physician. It costs a little more, but they get a full snapshot of your whole eye AND you don't have to dilate your eyes. So glad I did that.

Best eye exam I’ve had in 30 years of getting my eyes checked. Everyone on staff is friendly, professional and super helpful. Great selection of frames and I’m so happy with my purchases.

The staff here is so pleasant and polite. After an unpleasant experience at the heights location the employees here were able to turn this incident around. Special shoutout to the practice manager Mariah who was able to add my secondary insurance on file. I will be switching to this location for my future eye exams.

Dr. Turner and the front staff are truly wonderful! My daughter is very shy, and I was a little nervous about how the exam would go. But Dr. Turner was so kind, patient, and thorough that she immediately felt comfortable. The whole visit was smooth and stress-free, and we were in and out quickly without ever feeling rushed. Even though I’ve moved, I still make the trip back to this office because the care and experience are worth it every time. Thank you so much for always taking such great care of us!

I’ve been going here for about three years and the front desk have always been courteous, friendly, and professional! Things are explained in a detailed manner and they never rush you out. Very well organized!

I had an urgent eye issue, and my regular eye doctor could not see me before next week. I was able to make a same-day appointment with Dr. Bui, and she was great. She has a large monitor on the wall where she pulled up photos to help explain, along with searching Google maps to find a location for a referral close to me. Dr Bui exemplifies the type of care I hope to receive from medical professionals, and all of the staff was warm and friendly. I am so glad I discovered this place!

Just wanted to share my experience at the Cinco Ranch Facility. Farris was very helpful and patient explaining everything thoroughly to me about my son. Dr. Bui was just as patient, her technique with kids are superb especially mine who is on the Autism Spectrum. I Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality service with a smile

I am new to this location & team. So glad to have found this place closer to my home. The entire experience was awesome! I checked in with Sheila who also reshaped my glasses. She made checking in & out super easy! Then I met with Vanessa for the eye tests. So personable, attentive & made that whole process painless. Then I met with Dr. Monica Gonzales-Deliganis. She was so nice, explained everything so I could understand & took the time with me. I really appreciate this kind of service from this whole group! It’s hard to find the level of service sometimes. This office has excellent care. Doctor was very nice and made you feel like family. The front desk girl, Grace I think was singing and super happy when I came in. The guy who helped me pick out my glasses was super nice. The eye tech/nurse was super nice. Everyone was super professional and facility was clean. I had a great visit here.

Called to schedule my husband an appointment and the lady at the front desk was able to get him in immediately. His appointment was scheduled for 30 minutes from the time I called which was great. We were greeted by two ladies as soon as we walked in the door. Wait time was minimal, less than 3 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Megan is the absolute best she’s always willing to help in any way. The waiting area and the exam room were very clean and well kept. Plus they had a great playlist!

The staff and glasses selection at my visit today were fantastic. This crew is especially knowledgeable and helpful. Honestly they all deserve a significant raise for the expertise, care, and professionalism they bring to the practice!

Memorial Eye Center (formerly Today's Vision) is my go-to place for eye exams. The staff are friendly, polite & professional. The exams are thorough and you never feel like anything has been missed. Dr. Patel explains any questions you have in as much detail as you want. I always learn something from him.

Dr. Frazier has provided vision health care for 12 years. Her practice is run as in an environment of frictionless teamwork and state of the art technology. Her practice appears small and warm. Inside there is a multitude of equipment so advanced each with a unique purpose for eye health; prevention and management of common eye disease to optimization of-visual acuity for as long as the individual chooses to follow their prescribed treatment plan. Dr. Frazier has always worked hard for me, squeezing the most from the benefits I do have. She does not have the most “warm and fuzzy approach to patient interactions, which has only made me respect her abilities significantly more. She is honest, trustworthy and tells me like it is. Dr. Frazier cares, disregard her treatment plan and you will find out what I am talking about. Finally, she views patients as more than just corrective lenses. She requires specific details about your/my life; current medical conditions, medications, vital signs and applicable history. So I was a little nervous the first time I went in for my eye exam. I knew my eyesight had been getting progressively worse since I turned 40. I was actually dreading even going to the appointment. From the moment I walked in the office that day, the staff welcomed me and made me feel immediately at home. They even had coffee in the waiting room. The doctor who did my eye exam was very kind and EXTREMELY good at her job but for me the real fun begins when I came out of the eye exam into the room where the frames are and I met the most helpful of them all and my personal favorite employee there..... Miss Barbara. I would just like to say that every single time I've been to the Fraser eye center Barbara has gone above and beyond to not only make me feel comfortable there but she has went out of her way to help me make choices and has made my experience the best it could possibly be. I truly think this woman deserves a raise she deserves something great because she made something that could have been extremely stressful, very pleasant and actually fun. She's always so helpful and she helped me pout my first frames because I had no idea what would look good on my face and she helped me pick out ones that I love and I would go nowhere else but here and there was nobody else but Barbara because she is the Bees knees in my book, and she definitely knows what she's talking about she is a professional a.t all she does . Went today for the first with my son, the staff at the front desk were so friendly made my visit so welcome, to the doctor who saw my son very explanatory about everything she was so sweet and cordial with us. My experience with Dr. Daniel Wishnow and his assistant is always pleasant. The practice manager, Mariana Mejia, is always friendly and is very helpful in explaining details about frames, etc. She educated me on why it could be an advantage to choose polarized lenses for my sunglasses. In my opinion, she gives 100% of her time and knowledge when assisting me. I would suggest Wishnow-Sugar Vision Center to my family and friends.

Literally the whole experience was great. The scenery with the fishes and the section for the kids to play. The staff up front was very helpful and polite. Edit: the only negative comment I have is the difficulty getting in touch by phone. I've tried several times between 2 pm and 3 pm and no answer from the front desk, optometry, or the contact lens desk. Dr. Gonzalez is wonderful. She was so kind and professional, extremely thorough in her exam, and answered all my questions clearly. She was 100% present in the appointment, no rushing, no impatience, even going back to research previous results that I had a question on. She even helped with a question I had about my Mom's vision so I knew what to ask Mom and how to help her get the care she needs. I was absolutely comfortable in her care. She's a great doctor, and I highly recommend her.

I love how Dr. Walls remembers the stories I told to him from the last time I saw him. The staff is always smiling and friendly. A few weeks ago my husband had an issue with his eye and they got him in the next day no problem.

I had annual eye check up with Dr Khong in Memorial Eye Center at Willcrest. The clinic is clean and with state-of-art eye exam equipment! Dr. Khong is so kind and professional! She explained the exam results and gave me good advice for my condition. She has a warm heart to make patients feel comfortable.

Dr Kim-Van Chau is thorough and detail oriented with excellent communication. I feel comfortable the whole time during the examination. No dilation probably due to imaging of front and back of the eyes (perhaps new technology?). Perhaps I can drive home by myself next time! Staff is wonderful and helpful. Everything gets explained in plain English in details. Extra charges are transparent and will not be imposed without your signature. The center is clean and organized. You can also get your glasses done here.

I want to thank the entire staff at the Eldridge/Memorial location. The atmosphere and professionalism made another Annual appointment worthy of my time. From the start of the exam with the Assistance, the Dr. and then with Glasses personal/expert knowledge is another important aspect of returning to this location. I enjoyed trying on a new glasses frame, especially with the positive feedback on which glasses looked best. I appreciate ALL of the people that saw me for this last appointment on June 12, 2025.

Staff is very nice and professional. I had my exam and selected a nice frame. I felt welcomed as I enjoyed my glasses and didn't have to wait or take long for them to see me.

My mother-in-law doesn’t wear glasses nor have an optometrist. She scratched her eye and they immediately agreed to see her. She got exactly the help she needed as opposed to waiting in an ER to likely still not see the right specialist. Thank you! She definitely will be a return customer for regular care and we really appreciate the help.

I needed new eye glasses, but I wanted to try some place new that was close to my home. I located Memorial Eye Center on Eldridge near the I-10. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out the service was great. No sale pressure, friendly atmosphere and treated with respect. The eye examine went well, and they checked for everything, which I needed them to do. The price for glasses were reasonable, but the lens and a few other added things could be expensive. Overall, I would recommend Memorial Eye Center. Ask for Vanessa. Spider webs need to be clean up in the exam room behind the door and in the corners.

I would highly recommend Dr John Tavares. I have been visiting him for the last 3 years. He is highly professional and take time to examine and explain each step in simple terms. I did have some issues with my prescription specs which led to delays. However the new Manager Ms Alicia has improved the response with auto updates for pick up by text and email. Overall a very good experience at Memorial eye centre.

Dr. Zaibaq is very professional and proficient in his knowledge of the eyes. He takes the time to explain and educate, as well as be consistent with how he sees his patients, both new and existing. The staff at Town Square from Mary Beth and Sandra the lead opticians , Zachary his assistant and Cyrell the lead technician are a great unit when working together like a well oiled machine. I encourage anyone who needs any problem with their eyes fixed, come to Memorial Eye in Sugar Land Town Square.

Dr Zaibaq has been taking care of my husband and I for over 15 years. He is an amazing doctor! My husband requires special attention and he has taken very good care of him. Long time patient came in for yearly checkup checkup also had left eye infection. He prescribed ointment ointment and heat mask it is cleaning up after a couple days the staff is great they listen

I have been coming here since I got my first pair of glasses as a child, over 20 years later and my family and I are still coming every year! Through glasses, contacts, lasik, I couldn’t recommend Wishnow-Sugar more.

I have been coming here for a few years and have never had a bad experience. From the time I walk in the door at least one of the staff greats me by name. They are patient and very diligent. The wait time is minimum. Dr. Wishnow make a boring eye appointment fun. He makes sure I understand the changes to my eyes and vision. They have a great selection of frames. Again they take their time to make sure I am happy with my selection. No pressure sales. They take pride in their work and provide outstanding customer service.

Took my daughter here as a self pay patient for medical issue, the doctor and staff were very kind, efficient and prompt. The doctor provided through information need to get my daughter back to normal.

I especially appreciated how she walked me through the photos of the back of my eyes, explaining every part of the process clearly. It was a great experience and I highly recommend her!

Dr Amie was the absolute best with my two year old son. More than anything she listened to me regarding the issues he has been having with recurrent eye infections. Even though I have taken him to his regular pediatrician for this issue I knew he needed to see a specialist and im grateful I did. She explained in great detail what he had , what causes it and what I could do to help prevent them from recurring. She even took the time to show me what to use down to where I could purchase items. I left the office feeling at ease I had finally found some real help for my son and not just a temporary fix. Grateful to have found her and will definitely be recommending her.

Are you allowed to have a wee bit of fun at you eye doc appt? I did. All my questions were answered, options and costs explained in relation to out of pocket and insurance coverage. Answered my ignorant questions about things from Lasik to Glaucoma. When it came time to pick glasses, they were again honest about what insurance coverage applied and found frames specifically within. Zero upsales or push. Glasses were in quickly and my wife thinks I look hot in them.

This place is great! I went for my first ophthalmology visit ever and the doctor was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained all of my tests in detail. The man helping me find my first glasses was very patient and friendly. I would highly impressed, treated very well and actually enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I saw Dr. Amie Gisbert and she was very personable and professional. The staff was also very nice especially when it came time for billing. They did everything they could to help me get the best deal- showing me all the options financially to pick what would work best for me. I would definitely continue coming here even if I were to move away from Pearland.

Dr chiu, the team, the place is top notch. Dr chiu and team are masters in being kind to my daughters esp my eldest who is autistic. The practice is genuine and you can tell the staff loves working there. Dr chui is top notch. Their is also a Lil kids room for toys etc... place is spotless and I like the setting. Lots of eye glass selections.

I had an excellent experience! The staff was personable, welcoming, and efficient from the moment we arrived. The service was quick and organized without feeling rushed. Our provider, Dr. Jones was wonderful. She was gentle, patient, and thorough with children, which made the visit feel comfortable and reassuring. She explained things clearly and provided care with both professionalism and warmth. It was also meaningful to be cared for by a Black woman and doctor who represents excellence. She is highly educated, and community-centered with her care. As a parent, that kind of representation matters, my child is now pretending to be an eye doctor and giving exams at home, now we all have to “follow the pen”. Dr. Jones made us feel seen, respected, and well cared for on every level. I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality, compassionate, and family-friendly eye care.

I’ve been going to Memorial Eye Center for years, and Dr. Nguyen and her team are the best! Dr. Nguyen is always patient, caring, and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect with my vision. The whole staff is friendly and professional, but I really have to mention Anna — she’s amazing! She’s always welcoming, so helpful with scheduling and frames, and truly goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. You can tell she genuinely cares about the patients. I was referred here to get glasses not too long ago. While I live more than ten miles away to the south, it was worth the trip. From checking in with the receptionist to the eye examination to trying on my new spectacles, everything about Parkwood was truly excellent. Dr. Tyler Kvinta was very kind and honest. He gave me a thorough assessment of my vision, which is now mono after I went completely blind in my left eye a few years ago. My next appointment here is in a year, and I really hope I get Dr. Kvinta (pronounced "Kin-ta" like Quinta in La Quinta) again. Debbie in the glasses shop exuded warmth. It was like I was talking to a good friend about what glasses I should wear. She made my new pair feel as comfortable as possible. I want to conclude with another positive: they have a Keurig if you're looking to fulfill your coffee or tea fix.

Dr. Tyler Kvinta is very competent and has excellent people skills. He recommended me to a surgeon for cataract/extended vision lens implant. I'm pleased with the miracle of corrected vision.

I have been going there since I was a kid I am 50 today so yeah I went to other places in between but I went back there and they are still the best I can see almost 20/20 with the new contact lenses prescription and I have astigmatism and presbyopia ! Dr Pham did so great on my eye exam! And looked at my eyes health from behind the eye. They have all the latest technology and staff is so nice and helpful !

As a wee young lad in 1978, I got my first pair of glasses in this building when it was still Texas State Optical. I saw Dr. Warford and Dr. Hutto through the years. I saw Dr. Hutto and the new location on Garth. As the years went by and Dr. Warford and Hutto moved on and eventually passed on, I went to other places, but the revolving door of doctors was frustrating. There was no consistency or continuity of patient-doctor relationship like I had when Dr. Hutto was my main provider. I decided to go back to where it all began. I made an appointment with Dr. Matthews. He was very personable and professional. It was a great experience. The staff was amazing as well. They helped me with trying to figure out my insurance. Sometimes you need to stick with what you know and not try out something new. I am glad I decided to go back.

TSO has always been the place for me to come get my eyes checked here in Baytown. I brought my son here today and the staff and Dr. Mathews were more than accommodating. Dr. Warford knows how to put the best team together.

From the beginning of the appointment to the end of the appointment all of the staff were very kind. My son (6yo) was very comfortable there and they made the entire process for him fun and easy on his first time there. I will continue using this office for my exams and my sons.

Before my appointment, I went down a rabbit hole of reviews, but I always want to check things out for myself before turning them away. I'm glad that I didn't follow the negative reviews. The front desk staff was polite and greeted me immediately as I walked through the door. She checked me in right away as I walked around checking out their frames. I was then greeted by Brooklyn who took me back to start my initial exam. She greeted me by my name, she was cheerful, and professional. I was then moved to the official exam room with I was greeted by Dr. Doan. Her energy was amazing!!! She made me feel relaxed and heard. I was not rushed as all and I've read reviews about being rushed. I could tell that she really knew what she was talking about and she was very informative about what I needed. She didn't spend time feeding me BS and charging me up!!!! Finally, Ms. Diane finalized my presciption and orders. She walked me through what my charges were after my insurance. NOBODY tried to upsell any services in which I didn't need. There may have been suggestions, but it wasn't anything that I needed for my lens. I am very pleased with my first visit and all of the staff today that assisted me.

My recent visit to Memorial Eye Center was excellent. The entire staff and doctor were extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. They took their time with my exam, never rushed through any part of the process, and made sure all of my questions were answered thoroughly. I went to this office recently and that staff was super nice, I was greeted when I walked in, the person that did my eye routine before seeing the optometrist was phenomenal, he was super down to earth and nice, He made sure to wipe everything before and after I placed my head on any machine. I was seen by Rokeisha Joseph O.D., She was super nice, answered any questions that I had and the exam went perfectly, I did get a prescription from there, But with the insurance I had, I wasn’t able to afford what I would like in-store, So I called Monday morning to get my PD(Pupillary Distance) so I can order a backup pair and sunglasses. A staff member answered and immediately helped me with getting my PD, His name is “Carlos” his customer service skills is top notch. And the office and exam rooms were super clean. So please keep up the good work and friendliness in this office!

Dr. Joseph was fantastic. She was so personable and kind. During my exam she was patient as I asked her to flip through slides a few times and she answered my questions about different features. At the end of the appt I wasn’t pressured to buy glasses from them. They printed my prescription in case I wanted to look for options online. I never expected much from a vision appt, but this one was enjoyable. Even the staff member who took my measurements (Josiah) was great. Everyone was friendly, insightful, and helpful. A lot of the staff is bilingual with Spanish as well. Great experience. Will definitely return.
