Dr. Amelia Holbrook
Dr. Holbrook founded Memorial Eye fourteen years ago, and then,
as now, she is committed to utilizing new technologies to insure that the
scope and excellence of care provided to patients continues to grow.
Dr. Holbrook, in addition to overseeing patient care, has been active among her peers in the optometric profession. She held all offices during her four year tenure on the Board of the Harris County Optometric Society.
Dr. Holbrook holds her doctorate degree with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. She attended Texas A&M University before she began her optometric studies.

Dr. Emily Porier
Dr. Porier's focus in Optometry is being dedicated to the improvement of patients' lives by delivering the highest level of care possible. She especially enjoys working with children and their oftentimes unique vision challenges.
Dr. Porier began her professional career with Memorial Eye ten years ago, when she completed her doctorate with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. Her training included an emphasis on neuro-ophthalmic disorders.
Dr. Porier attended the University of Texas before she began her optometry studies.

Dr. Mary Portele
Dr. Portele's particular interests within Optometry include a dedication to excellence in primary eye care as well as designing contact lens modalities that fulfill an individual patient's particular visual needs.
Her interests extend into working among her professional peers. She held elected positions in 1997 and 1998 while serving on the Board of the Harris County Optometric Society.
Born and raised in Houston, Dr. Portele earned both undergraduate and doctorate degrees from the University of Houston. She joined Memorial Eye ten years ago.

Dr. John Tavares
Dr. Tavares' interests in Optometry are multifaceted, but his primary concern is all aspects of ocular health maintenance and preventive care.
Dr. Tavares has been integral to our practice for nearly ten years. He moved to Houston from Michigan to begin undergraduate work at the University of Houston, where he earned his bachelor of science in Biology.
He holds his doctorate from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, as well. He trained intensively with surgeons and co-managed patients with complex medical problems.

Dr. Kim To
Dr. To is one of Memorial Eye's newest optometrists. Her fresh, bright energy complements her optometric achievements.
A native Houstonian, Dr. To was awarded a four-year scholarship to attend the University of Houston, where she earned, with the distinction of Magna cum Laude, her Bachelor's in Biology. She went on to the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she continued to receive academic honors, which included a medical publication.
Dr. To has been seeing patients at our offices for the past year.

Dr. Elaine Pham
Dr. Pham brings to Memorial Eye diverse experience. Ranging from primary care of all ages to extensive work with contact lenses and management of post-operative surgical cases, her interests are varied, but always focused on delivering excellent care.
Dr. Pham grew up in Houston, where she attended the University of Houston for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She earned her doctorate with the distinction of Magna cum Laude.
Dr. Pham joined Memorial Eye last year after six successful years in private practice.
